Q. Do Bellerive Luxury Apartments or Grand Champions Apartments allow pets?

Q. What is the standard lease period?
A. 12 month lease.
Q. Do you take Section 8?
A. No.
Q. What is the leasing process?
A. The leasing process is as follows:
- Step 1. Tour available apartments.
- Step 2. Fill out rental application and rental verification and submit along with $35 application fee. Background checks are conducted on all residents.
- Step 3: Pay security deposit.
- Step 4. Sign lease agreement.
Q. Do you allow subleasing?
A. No. Residents are able to find a qualified replacement tenant to take over the lease. Fee required.
Q. What does “Joint Tenancy” mean?
A. It means that all of the tenants in an apartment are equally responsible for the entire amount of the rent. Therefore, if tenant A doesn’t pay, then tenants B, C, and D are liable to make up the difference. A lease is a contract, and the contract is for the total monthly rent regardless of how many tenants sign it.
Q. How do I report a maintenance issue?
A. Call MK Property Management at (785) 776-1936 or log into your tenant portal and complete a work order.
Q. What if I have a maintenance issue after-hours?
A. We ask that regular maintenance issues be reported during our office hours of 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. In case of emergency, call the 24-hour emergency maintenance number at (785) 341-8850. Please be advised that after hours calls must be for emergencies only and will be treated as such. Misuse of this service may involve an assessment of charges.
Q. When is notice required for renewals?
A. We send out lease renewals 3–5 months prior to your lease termination date.
